Today, I am in shock and disbelief that Rihanna has officially reunited with her abusive ex-boyfriend, rapper Chris Brown. In 2009 their scandal erupted, when Brown had beaten Rihanna terribly after the 2009 Grammy Awards Show. Her reasoning for going back to such a monster: "I like to live dangerously."
What Rihanna just did was glorify domestic violence. NEWS FLASH: Never go back to an abuser. Whether it is a spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, or a family member. This gives them the power to manipulate and control you. ONCE AND ABUSER, ALWAYS AN ABUSER. Keep your power and walk away. You may think, "I will never find someone who loves me that much." Abuse will never equal love. If he/she loved you in the first place they would have kindly kept their hands to themselves. So, be a role model to every child around the globe. Vow to never say "yes" to abuse. Say "yes" to loving yourself unconditionally! You will find someone who deserves the beautiful human that you are, it is just not them. Together we are going to end domestic abuse.
