"What makes a guy cool?" study I conducted in January

I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to sit down and talk to a group of 4th grade boys this January. I asked them "What makes a guy cool?" Here is a list of what they thought are traits of a "cool guy":

• Nice hair
• Big muscles
• Athletic
• Expensive clothes
• A car
• Money
• A girlfriend

I said to them, "Are you respectful? Are you confident? Are you friendly?" With most of them nodding their heads vigorously, they had their answer. The term "cool" is used in society to separate people by what they DO and DO NOT have. All of these exceptional young men already have what it takes, none of it being material. You will find people that love and respect you regardless of what you look like or have :)
